About the Pastor
Pastor Tuggle was passed the baton in 1990 from his father, the late Elder Roosevelt Tuggle Sr. who pastored Open Door for over forty years. Pastor Tuggle Jr. has a vision for the church which is for the church to grow, glow and equip men, women, boys and girls to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with a dark and dying world. Furthermore, Pastor Tuggle exemplifies the love of God and instructs others to do so as well. (Remember St. John 3:16)
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in Three Persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
We believe that thee only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.
We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in
answer to believing in prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world.
Information about our church
Open Door Church has been established for over 60 years win this community. We believe solely in the Bible as the word of God; and we act on what we believe in his word. Our vision for Open Door Church is to reach the lost, disciple the new members, and equip believers for service. It is our hope that we may transform our community by supporting one individual at a time. In addition, we want to share the good news with as many people as possible that we come in contact with. We also want to inform people in our neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods, by encouraging them to understand that their history does not determine their destiny. In other words, whatever negatives they have experienced in the past, God can change their situation to reflect His plan of love and purpose in the future. Lastly, our message of hope is that “Jesus loves you and He gave his life so that you could live life serving Him.”
Please join us in one of our worship services on Sunday at 11:00 am or Thursday at 7:30 pm.
We believe that you will be inspired and welcomed by our church family.
We pray God’s blessings in abundance upon you and your family!
Sincerely,
Pastor Roosevelt Tuggle
